"The lullaby project grew from our desire to find another way to promote and celebrate the rich diversity of cultures that we experience everyday.

Like food, music is a universal expression of what it is to be human. Music crosses geograpical and cultural borders; it is blind to the constraints of time and histroy. It is fundamental and often spontaneous way that all people express themselves and the culture from which they come. No musical form is more evocative or intimate than the lullaby: it soothes and quietens, it reassures, and it ushers in the magical world of dreams. The language of the lullaby, as this CD shows, is a universal language, uniting us all.
